School nurses constantly educate students and promote healthy behaviors.  The posters you see on this page were developed by students at Mt. Pleasant High School.  Early in my tenure at Mt. Pleasant, 3 young men came to me saying they didn’t like the smoke in the school restrooms.  They were willing to work on the problem, and thus began a successful anti-tobacco program.  In addition to the posters you see here, the students developed commercials and a traveling Hip-Hop Group, All 4 One.  The Knights Against Tobacco and Mt. Pleasant High School students have continued this project for 8 years with a grant from the Division of Public Health’s Community Contract. The grant is funded by the Delaware Health Fund and managed by the American Lung Association of Delaware.
